Pioneer Life

This exhibit details the history of European settlement in the Cowichan Lake region beginning in the late 1890s, with a focus on specific individuals of note from early European settlement days.

The exhibit consists of three rooms recreated to resemble 19th-20th century style homes, alongside a mural by artist Gaylea Nelson which depicts the Cowichan Lake waterfront as it looked in the late 1800s.
